Description

This California Blue Plate 1983 Ford F-150 XL 4x4 finished in gorgeous Dark Blue Metallic, with blue cloth interior was sold new in San Francisco California and remained there until our purchase this year. This well optioned One Family Owned F-150 was built in March of 1983 and remained in the same family until we purchased it this year. The F-150 is loaded with options but some that stand out include tilt steering, sliding rear window, Air Conditioning, cruise control, premium AM/FM Cassette Radio and heavy duty suspension.

This F150 is powered by its original 302 CI V8 engine that has been rebuilt 4000 miles ago backed by a C6 Automatic transmission. A new exhaust was fit at when the engine was rebuilt. The truck runs and drives as it would new. The TTB Dana 44 front axle and Ford 9” rear are fit with 3.50 gears. All brakes and the power steering system have been serviced and are ready to go. The A/C works as it should. All original wheels and dog dish caps have been fit with brand new Falken Wildpeak A/T Tires.

The body is great shape overall, all panels are original and rust free. The XL still wears its paint meter verified all original paint and shows extremely well but does have some small scratches, chips ect as you would expect with an original truck. Lights work ect. The underside is also rust free and in amazing condition. Look at the floor photos!

The factory blue and white cloth interior is in great shape. The seat shows near perfect. The floormat is all original and shows very well for its age, all trim and plastics are in great shape. Look at the lack of wear on the dash and steering wheel! The AM/FM Cassette Radio works as it should, as does all instrumentation and warning lights.

This is the perfect usable classic driver, it runs and drives like it should and turns heads everywhere it goes! California Blue Plates go with the truck!
